VietFace TV crew flew from Southern California to Bloomington, IN, on the second week of the premiere of The Tale of Lady Thị Kính on February 14, 15 of 2014 to attend the show and to interview P.Q. Phan. Their other goal for this visit was to make a documentary about Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and the making of The Tale of Lady Thị Kính at IU Opera. For this purpose, they interviewed Dean Gwyn Richards, Executive Director of Ballet and Opera Production Tim Stebbins, Composer and Librettist P.Q. Phan, Conductor David Effron, Stage Director Vince Liotta, Costume Designer Linda Pisano, and the opera singers who played the main role of Thị Kính: Sarah Ballman and Veronica Jensen. The documentary was broadcast on VietFace TV show at the end of March and early April of 2014. The interviews are in English and the show is in Vietnamese. The episodes are now available on YouTube.
